An exciting little bit, the Hound Beacon Cropped Top from Spring/Summer 2011 was featured in a post on Stylesight. It’s a membership only site so there’s no link to share but I was kindly alerted to this posting by Claire at Blonde Got Blues. She posted the top last spring and that post sure has gotten around, thanks!

In other news, I apologize that it’s been so silent here for a while now. Tomorrow night I’m going to meet with Michelle to work on prints and hopefully I’ll be snapping some in progress photos. Stay tuned, spring is just around the corner!

a holiday event

Just wanted to let you know that I’m going to be participating in a Holiday Sale this Saturday the 10th from 5-8pm at the Concentrated Film Studios (2156 W. Fulton). I’m going to be concentrating on gift type items including a new bag, but the collection will be there as well. The sale also includes the talented designers Anna Brown, Nonnie Threads and Nora Del Busto. I’ve been so busy sewing this past week that I’ve barely had time to post but I took a few moments to take some photos of a grouping of Gold Spectrum dresses. I love sewing with this gold linen, even my serger scraps look good with this fabric! I’ll be back after Thanksgiving with a little post holiday treat. Since Cursive and Hound’s fall collections debuted around the same time we thought it would be fun to do a polyvore series of how we would pair one of my garments with one of her jewels. Packaging Up Orders

I’m really excited about my packaging this season. After a few seasons I feel like I’ve really gotten it down, finally! A little thank you postcard, a business card, a sticker to seal things up and kraft tissue. I love kraft paper anything. I think it’s probably because patterns are drafted on kraft paper before they’re transferred to manilla paper and I love all things patternmaking.

It’s been nonstop cutting + sewing around here. My favorite part has to be putting in the new labels, I’m so glad I finally got woven ones. I’ve been wanting to order them for a long time but I kept changing my mind on white on black or black on white. Choices choices!
